![]() ![]() You couldn’t use the microwave because of this or the hair dryer. 4.) The majority of the outlets did not work and were physically coming out of the wall. The room didn’t look like it had been updated since the building was constructed. We paid $350 per night and expected something much better. The rooms are dusty, rusty, chipped, worn, extremely dated and disappointing. We are not hard to please but that’s not how you want to be greeted initially by the face of your company. I was expecting a “welcome, how are you” at minimum. 2.) When we stepped up to the front to check in, after 45 minutes of waiting in line, the lady said “yes ma’am”. 1.) I completed the pre checkin online only to arrive at the lodge and to wait 45 minutes in line to check in the regular way. It was quite disappointing in many ways though. Let me preface by saying, my kids enjoyed their stay. My husband and two kids, ages 2 and 7, stayed 3 nights at Great Wolfe in April 2022. I’ve attached pictures for those interested in the rat hole this place has become. I will actually pay to fly my family to another Great Wolf location outside of the state versus driving from my home in Dallas to this property. I’m waiting to see what excuse they give me about accepting my money, but it not being available. We paid for an outdoor cabana tomorrow because we expected it to be super busy this weekend. So everyone is crammed into the indoor area, which isn’t optimal. ![]() They should have explained this when we checked in. It’s Easter weekend and the outdoor area is completely closed and doesn’t look like it’s been used (or cleaned) in months. When we checked in, the attendant didn’t explain anything about the wrist bands, paw passes or anything on property. Tonight I’ll be sleeping on the pull out couch hoping for sleep. The beds are super hard and in addition to the twin beds, we have a double bed for the adults. The room was hot because the air con doesn’t work properly. Room is on the first floor and the sliding door barely shuts or locks. We checked in and the room is dirty (walls, behind toilet, etc). Not to this location or another GWL.Īvoid like the plague - it has seriously deteriorated. Unfortunately for them, we will not be returning. They would go back tomorrow if they could. And they close the park at 8 so there's not much else to do. The game room was impressive though the games cost $3-4 each so you blow money real quick there. The phone chargers on the night stands did not work. And since my little one was too scared to sleep in the bunk we ended up on the pull out sofa that was worse than the bed. Our room temperature was good but our queen size bed was really hard. It had to be a quarter mile from the park (No Kidding). The poolside food and pizza were just down right terrible. We continued to eat breakfast as it was included but ate in the pizza and pool side areas for the remainder of the stay paying out of pocket. The food was delicious but since the supper buffet was $75 for 4 of us, there was only $35 left to our balance after one meal and we were booked for 4 days. The breakfast buffet and supper buffet was great. What they don't tell you is that you get a breakfast daily and they give you an allowance of your own money for lunch/supper. We paid for the breakfast and lunch meal ticket which was expensive in its self. We were expecting a wow factor and when we got to the water park all we could think was, "This is it?". This vacation trip was by far my least favorite with the kids since they've been born. There are lots of other options and activities but those got pricey. Long lines for anything that there was and hard to even find a place to put your stuff. The outside area was not open yet so the inside was crazy. We had dinner plans so did get some money back. We were offered a slight discount on our room or some free food. Good thing we had another family with us and we could change in their room. We only had a night and the kids were ready to swim. When we first got there our room was not ready. I happened to call before we went as prices had changed and we were able to get a better price. The rooms seemed more expensive than normal but this was due to a holiday weekend. We have been to a GreatWolf in Michigan so kind of knew what to expect. We visited Texas from Michigan and came to stay a the GreatWolf Lodge for a night. ![]()
